Difference between Front-wheel drive and Rear-wheel drive?

The difference between front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive is that in the front wheel drive, the engine drives the front wheel, while in the rare-wheel drive the engine drives the rare wheel irrespective of engine placement(May be front or Back).

Front-wheel drive cars have a very low center of gravity, which makes them more stable at high speeds. Rear-wheel drive vehicles have a higher center of gravity and therefore tend to be less stable in curves and on bumpy roads.

Front-wheel drive vehicles have better fuel efficiency and maneuverability because they can make use of more efficient engine placement.

A rear-wheel drive is a form of transmission where the wheels are at the back of the vehicle. The engine, gearbox, and other parts are located in front of the rear axle. Rear-wheel-drive cars are usually equipped with four-wheel drive systems which allows them to perform better in muddy conditions or snow-covered roads.

Rear-wheel-drive cars have better handling capabilities because their engines do not hinder control over them while cornering or braking.

Rear-wheel-drive also provides a smoother ride for passengers as well as providing better protection from bumps and other road imperfections due to their robust construction.

Rear-wheel-drive tend to be heavier than front-drive vehicles, but this adds weight transfer during hard acceleration which reduces fuel consumption than the front wheel drive.
